Mostar

This is the old Bridge of Mostar in the background. The bridge was bombed in the middle of 1990's and rebuilt by international forces. That is the history background but I like this shot because of it's atmosphere.

Today was my first day. it was alright :) I have to know all the programs and everything first. So well... And a sad news. My laptop is dying. This means I will have to take him to a service. I already called them. They will take away him on monday, and won't give me back until 2 weeks. That's long. So I don't think I can update my blog from the office :(

I've seen this bridge in other images but the lead-in with the pots gives it a different feel, well seen.

The timing of your laptop dying as you start your new job surely is not coincidental, Susan. Let it be a time when you can fully concentrate on what's new before you. I'm so happy that you've found a place.

We all will be waiting for you when you come back!

Susan Voros: Yes. But to be honest actually it was dying before that. Before I came to London, it collapsed and it was a matter of time when it will happen again. After I got a job I phoned the HP service right away to help me out. I need my laptop back. But now something new started so I might be able to cope with that.
I can't wait to come back. And during this period I will travel home to my diploma ceremony

I kind of agree with Ginnie. All things have their turns. It's time to focus on what's important.
On other hand, two weeks is an overkill. What kind of service is that? I'm sure you can find guy who can fix your laptop in two hours. Shop around.

Susan Voros: Indeed, I agree with you as well.
This is an HP service. I have world warranty in my laptop and they will repair it, hopefully for free. I can't affor a technician by myself

That's why the wait.
Anyway, I will write you a longer e-mail when I will have the time. I noted your other comments, just hadn't got time to answer properly

You will be able to give your job your full attention while your lap top is in the repair shop. You will have so much fun with it when you get it back. Lovely shot by the way. Come back soon.

Susan Voros: Yes indeed. But it would be nice to have actuall a computer at home to try to know the programs. But well, I will be the happiest perosn on earth to get back m computer

I want my camera's focus window replaced because it is dirty. Go to the shop, they say go to Canon (not too far from where I live) they will do it while you wait. At Canon they say some compant does the work for them now. Go to the company and they say minimum 10 days. Two days for a quote and then 8 days to repair. So I keep on shooting, because it does not influence the pictures. Modern business with help centres and repairing agents and SLA (Service Level Agreements) - all a worthless waste of money.

Anyhow - if your go offline we will catch you when you are back.

The bridge in this pic was big in the news a number of years ago. Great composition. Not your standard bridge picture

We will see if they get my laptop or what will happen. I haven't even got confirmation about that they gonna take it away...

As for the picture, thanks. I always like to search different angles. Sometimes it work... sometimes just don't ..

Finally caught up with all your pics! I keep forgetting to check in every day!

Love this one. Especially with the blue colors in the jugs(?). Looks great with the green mountain in the bg.

And sorry to hear about the laptop. I'm going to be internetless for a while soon too so I know how you feel. :/
