Susan Voros: I'm not religious either. It's just the special air and space that makes me feel high and touched about this subject. But in my point of view its rather the architecture that does the trick. Thanks Ginnie!

I can feel the touch here too, darling. You did the right thing to stop by and take a photograph. If only you paid more attention on the technical side. Look how half of the Jesus' body is gone, that's called overexposure. Have you noticed the cross is tilted to the left? That's what cropping in Photoshop is for. Until we reach the level of such masters, like Ansel Adams (and this might take a bit longer then you expect), the cropping tool will remain the most important in building strong compositions in our photography. This also applies to your yesterday's shot of your dog. As Auguste Rodin once replied to the question, what is the source of the success of his sculptures: "I just cut off all unnecessary marble". We got to use the same approach in photography.
Regarding being religious, after reading Mother Teresa's letters, published recently, I'm not even sure what it means anymore.

Susan Voros: I can see what do you mean by the crop. I always say that is a good phot thatz you can't crop anything else from it, because it works the way it is. To be honest as this is a scanned one, I tried to rotate it to have the horizont still... For me it seemed linear, but I guess I was wrong. The picture itself is not overexposed but my Photoshop worked sucked on it and that's why it got too white. I guess it's totally my afterwork's fault.

I think it's wonderful. great atmosphere and quite powerful.
