Candles to Remember

Hungary, Budapest. The church is almost empty... Only a few candles lit the corridors and you can touch the silence. Suddenly you hear some thuds on the floor as somebody walks beside you. The steps fade away.. and you can only just stare into the light of the candles... You stare them for long and deep, and you finally see something you were looking for. It's there. It's always been there. You get your camera out, and try to capture the moment. The moment of rememberance.

Susan Voros: Thank you Ginnie. Here I was remembering a person I lost. Candles in a church always mean my grandma for me. I loved her with every inch of my heart. She is gone.

Hey, that was quite poetic, I mean both, the sketch and the photograph. Keep writing your own thoughts instead of quoting someone else's. I think you're onto something.

Susan Voros: Thank you! I am always kinda embarassed to write out my thoughts like this. Some pictures has this effect on me and some just doesn't. But I'm going to try to share more.

I carry my family and my country in every cell of my body. Because that's who I am and who I became. That is where my thoughts and depth come from.

this is really nice. like ambience captured here.

Susan Voros: Thank you. That was the whole purpose. The athmosphere in the church when the candles are lit are something special for me all the time. Even though I'm not religious in the common way of the word.
